Dr. Shiraaz Rahman is a fellowship-trained cataract and glaucoma surgeon — and a proud native of the Louisville area. He combines elite academic training with over 10 years of high-volume surgical experience, bringing world-class ophthalmologic care to his home community.
Dr. Rahman completed both his undergraduate studies and medical degree at Northwestern University through the Honors Program in Medical Education, one of the nation's most selective combined BS/MD programs. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Northwestern, where he was selected as Chief Resident.
He then trained at Harvard University's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, completing an advanced fellowship in glaucoma surgery at one of the world's leading ophthalmology institutions.
